Sabah 2019 Day 6

15-8-2019

From the selfie stick testing, we got this picture... not very clear but just love it with the feel! Was on our way to Arnab Village.

At the end, we still have to leave the Anjung Rehat Jamsari homestay, where we loved the place a lot. We were living for Arnab Village. This place was hidden until we found from the google map. It was quite deep inside from the main road and there were rabbit farm, hamster hut, mini grape farm and cat hotel. On the way to Poring, we dropped by Pekan Ranau and found a hidden restaurant serve delicious food. Poring Hot Spring has accrued by Sutera Harbour and the place has developed a lot compared to the first when we were there and many more surprises we found there.

Good morning... say "hi" to Mt Kinabalu

A family photo before leaving the home stay

Going to miss this place for some time... This warung serve great!

Arnab Village was just only established. Entrance of RM 50 for 2 adults and 2 children. Children were happy feeding the rabbit. The happiness of the children has chilled us down from the afternoon hot sun. It was also their first time to see the grape plant, despite we missed the first time in New Zealand. However, they love the simple motor the most!

Main entrance of the Arnab Village

Entrance with love sign... Really a nice family bonding place to be... Love it!

"Its too hot to be out there!"

Looks happy with the rabbit :)

Rabbit was feeding rabbit and in the eyes of rabbit looks happy.

 Naughty boy!

Quite like this angle of shoot!

He looked cute with the Arnab!

Always happy to see them grow up... Another fruitful trip! Was it a Panda or a Rabbit? I was confuse! haha

Hamster... where were several species of hamster in this area and the owner decorated it with the world wide wonders building such as Stoneage and Great Wall of China!

This was my first grape farm visit as well, they have done their first harvest on June.

Farmer take care of the farm well and nicely indicate the grape, make easy for visitor to find it.

Our group photo! All smile! Wishing for more trips, hiking or camping to come!

First timer as well... pepper plant!

Kids have fun with this motor made from recycle Tyre.

 Mic Dohan!

Best Friend Forever! BFF

Kinabalu Poring Vacation Lodge was a big big surprise for us! I was mistaken that it was the same unit in Poring Hot Spring (Sutera Harbour)! However, it was located beside the Poring Hot Spring. Towards the end of the road, there was a crushed stone road on the left, and went into it and pass through a bridge and a river to and continue slow to reach the Lodge! It is recommended to have a 4 wheel-drive vehicle to go into this Lodge. It was adventure and at the same time scary if the water level gone up high, our schedule might have to change. After reached the Lodge, we decided to have plan change and not to leave the lodge again. Crushed stone road condition will be shown on tomorrow!

Dropped by Pekan Ranau and found Restaurant Sung Fun Tong, where they served delicious food, especially the fresh water fish (Sultan Fish), as fresh as caught from the aquarium. Unfortunately forgot to capture the picture of the meals. We did not expect to be so delicious and I recommend you to try!

Not to forget to try this Pandan 3 layer tea! Only in Sabah!~

Panoramic view of Kinabalu Poring Vacation Lodge

The beautiful entrance! This place was a little run down but I love the place that it has all the necessity at lower price but it could be better with attached bathroom for all the units. It was really a kampung life! You can find chicken, goose, rabbit, fish, bird and all kind of fruit trees. Best was it has a huge compound and allowed you to run freely with games! Dinner can be ordered upon delivery. Sorry no Panda or grab food here! And no McDonald or KFC! Let's go local food!

My room! I have not even switched on the TV at all!

Volley ball or soccer? I was confused again!

The Sabahan so called Avogadro Cheese. Correct name from google was egg fruit [Scientific name: Canistel]

Delicious! It can be eaten together with biscuit!

Sabah local Avogadro. Tasty as well.

Local Sabahan called this Epal Baldu. In Malaysia called Buah Mentega. My father call it local Persimmon! Source from internet says this is Velvet Apple. [Scientific name: Diospyros blancoi]

New friend found! Chong Hee found his German Girlfriend from Cologne! She is beautiful!

Mahlzeit!

King to King after meal! Cool down and meditating after meal! Good habit!

Although they have language barrier but they have no barrier in communicating! Talk without talking! Chong Yu tried hard to speak English to her "My name is Chong Yu, your name is what?" She seems did not understand what his English! Haha! Proud of his courage!

 She was my girlfriend!

Although there were some changes on Day 6 due to the geographical condition, but ended up a great day to see the happiness from them and both families were happy to see their children to associate with foreigner. Luckily we all were not that particular on every detail of the trip and made this trip wonderful. Thanks to all parties!

We postponed partial of Day 6 activities to Day 7 and waiting for a much more surprise and special Day 7! Stay tune!
