Sabah 2019 Day 3

12-8-2019

This place was one of the most enjoyable destination of our entire trip. Should have stay for another day to enjoy here.
After breakfast at the Gaya Street, we were on our way to Polumpung Melengkap. It took us about 45 minutes to the destination. This place has limited resources and food, it is great to buy food supply in KK before begin the venture journey. Along the journey, we also stop by for Lokan and Kelapa Puding for lunch. Spend more time to enjoy yourself in this magnificent crystal clear water.

Long queue at Yee Fung Restaurant, (Why call Yee Fung Laksa Sdn Bhd ah?) This is the famous Sabah Laksa and Beef Noodle coffee shop. Even though the queue is long, but it was fast... Soon it was our turn.

Waiting for the food after order. Don't be surprised to see Malay with Tudung is serving Chinese food, even pork in here. This place is very harmonic, they do not have religion or race barrier, they all are Sabahan!

All were their chef recommendation drinks. 2 layer tea, 3 layer tea, 3 layer pandan tea and sour plum lemon lime ice.

Local Wan Tan Mee

A snap from our hostel before leaving. Just opposite, there is a supermart call Never Close!
Pack and go, time to leave... We check out on time after picking up our rented car. Recommended to use Kwikcar apps for rental. The host, Vivi were very friendly and nice.

This place was along our way to Polumpung and we stopped by for light lunch. This place is special with its Lokan, Kelapa (coconut) Pudding and Kelapa Bakar. However we did not try Kalapa Bakar.

All the shops were selling Lokan... Pick the shop as you like. All shops will open at 1pm, so make sure don't be there too early.

Kelapa Pudding (Coconut Pudding)

We also tried the local Durian at RM 12 per kg. Its delicious

This is how the BBQ Lokan looks like.

Say Cheese everyone!
On our way... nice and green... feeling relaxing while driving around here.

This is our first seen when we reached the destination... I have never imagined the place is such beautiful.

Found our Melengkap Homestay Bungalow. We found this homestay from Google maps and we called to book the location. It is nice and beautiful, equipped with great facilities and a BBQ pit. Should have plan for BBQ trip next round.

This was also part of the owner land... Has the New Zealand nature beauty... Proud of Sabahan that preserve the great nature view.

Buah Talap... Sweet, tasty, great smell. I love this fruit!
Be early to go for the river dip! Should have be there earlier. 2 hours seems not enough for me... It was cool at the beginning but it was really refreshing after start dipping into the river until we did not feel like get up until the sky getting dark!

The view was so beautiful even without appearance of the Mt Kinabalu.

The Mt Kinabalu has begun to appear into the scene.

The water flow from behind and hitting my back, it was a great massage!

At last, we have dinner by the river, their local food were quite nice... listening to the flow of river and enjoying our dinner, great experience!

Tested Huawei Mate 20 Pro feature with manual setting of aperture, ISO and shutter speed with 30 sec shutter speed. NICE!

Mee Goreng (Fried noodle) and Lemon Chicken. Delicious!

Kids were hungry and enjoying the meals!
We have not enjoy enough at this place... we really wish to go back here once again when we are bringing our children for mountain climbing next time. This activity ended our Day 3 Sabah adventure.

More to come for Day 4!
