Sabah 2019 Day 4

13-8-2019

Anjung Rehat Jamsari Homestay. This was our homestay for 2 nights with the magnificent view of Mt Kinabalu at our balcony. So enjoy to have a cup of coffee and the cool weather and mountain view.

Waking up in the early morning to catch the beautiful scenery of Mt Kinabalu by the Polumpung river fall. It was hard to wake up after a tired day 3 but it gave us a memorable view. Good thing was, dating time for us without the children. Ikan Jinak leg spa was also nearby, saved up some of our time to travel to Sungai Moroli as per planned. There were huge lots of fish at the river and it was a great experience for fish massage and fish were big size compare to the aquarium leg massage. Anjung Rehat Jamsari Homestay located at Kundasang, along the way we dropped by Kinabalu Park and guess what? We met someone there! There were not much facility provided at Anjung Rehat Jamsari Homestay; however we found a great cafe!

Sabah is 1 hour ahead of time compare to Penang base on its geographical location, therefore Sabah sunrise at 5.30am. We woke up at 5am in the morning and wait for the sunrise. While waiting I was trying to capture the starry night of Sabah... here it goes with 30 sec shutter speed.

Sun is coming up and here is the shot of Mt Kinabalu. Mt Kinabalu has clear sky from the evening until morning; usually will be covered by the cloud during the day.

 Hanging bridge.

Leg spa in the morning! :)

 Crystal clear water

View of the homestay from the hanging bridge.

Back to homestay and enjoy our coffee before the kids woke up and that is the end of our dating!

Morning Coffee and the view of Mt Kinabalu, our morning dates!

It was just so peaceful there.
You will never peaceful again when this chicky woke up!

Notice that there were lots of stones stacked up by the river. Looks like Buddhism Stupa!

Ikan Jinak located just on the left side of Melengkap Homestay. It was about 5 minutes drive. There were the local that collecting the entrance fees and they use the money collected to maintain the river  cleanliness and feed the fish. Fish food can be purchased by the river where there was a Kadazan Dusun selling it. She explained the species of the fish and also tough us how to feed the fish. Fish also performing fish spa by biting your foot dry skin. Very tickle and the expression of feeling tickle can be seen from your face! Its fun!

The villages said this was the original fish by nature; while for Ranau Maroli was a man made for commercial.

 Just right under the bridge

Luckily there was a bridge and let us be shaded while attempting to the fish.

There were hell lots of it!

The fish starts attacking my leg!

 Biting biting, tickle tickle!

The owner instructed us to hold the fish food in your hand and put into the water. Hold it tights and let the fish suck the fish food... The fish were the 3000W power vacuum cleaner that kept sucking the food from your hand... Very interesting!

Children enjoyed feeding the fish until were warned to go under the shade!

Her expression shows how tickle it was!

Gone back to the location when I was first started my trip in Sabah, the Kinabalu Park. 13 years back, when I was first arrived, we faced a lot of obstacles and a lot of memories! Till today, place still looks the same.

Just opposite the Kinabalu Park, there was a restaurant with reasonable price for lunch and breakfast. I was there for breakfast before during the 1st mountain climbed. Food were still delicious.

 The Lamboghini singing rock star

Fried rice ok boh? Seems got a shock haha!

Team photo! Cheer! No need to be so serious lah!

Guess who we met? The mountain climber and camper from our group chat and my sons' school ex teachers... Wish them all the best and good luck for the climb.

This was the climbing map and the tour guide were explaining to the mountain climber. But what Chong Yu doing there?

These were the climbers and get ready for the climb tomorrow. You need to register to climb this mountain a year in advance before it gets fully book. It is the mountain who chose you to climb not you chose the mountain to climb. Remember never bring back anything from this mountain, they believed there is spirit in this mountain. They claimed that the mountain earthquake was cause by the few youth that taking naked picture at the top of the mountain. This was because the youth were disrespectful to their ancestor.

Even though the cloud has blocked the view of Mt Kinabalu but still looks great! Photo captured before heading to Mersilau.

Choices of vegetables and fruits were available here in the stall by the roundabout.

Sabah local fruits! Talap, Mangosteen, Dragon Fruit, Rambutan, Oranges, Salad Madu, Longan, Egg Fruit and many more!

This is Egg Fruit! Scientific named: Canistel. Local Sabahan call it Avogadro Cheese. Looks like Sabah local Avogadro in shape. Soft and dry texture like a cooked sweet potato. Taste very sweet!

On our way to Mersilau - Anjung Rehat Jamsari Homestay

Clock wise: Buah Bambangan (Exotic Fruit); Skin at top left and flesh at center, Pink Guava, Buah Cinta (Tamarillo), Nangka (Jackfruit).

Sabah Nona (Rollinia Deliciosa), Egg fruit and Salad Madu. Love all of it!

Scene of Mt Kinabalu from our balcony

Felt funny about this village call Kampung Tanpa Wayar... The village does not have a wire?

Night view of Mt Kinabalu. I often have sleepless night at wee hour. Took this opportunity to snap a 30 sec night scene of Mt Kinabalu.

This was really a fruit full day! Fill up the stomach with lots of fruits. We only planned 2 to 3 places to visit each day so that the trip will be much relaxing and has some buffer to play around if the trips does not gone well. Overall still enjoyable, especially with the scenery and cooling weather there. Food wise were great even with simple meal. Will show more on the next day picture. Kids and parents were enjoy sharing ideas and have a great time together. Although some did not turn up to be as it was but important was we still able to compromise and make fun of it to conclude with happy ending. Love this trip so much... Can't wait for the next day of Desa Dairy Cow Farm visit!
