Seems like I have a lot of pending dairy to be recorded.
This is only a simple last-minute trip to KL. The purpose is to bring my
children to expose to the University that both of us has been to. To let them
have some idea how a University looks like and where their parents stayed and
studied before, how it looks like. Hope that will build up their interest to go
to the university in future. As the time is closer to their age in going to the
university, we will bring them once again to the university together with the
student and refresh their memories.
First, we went to Universiti Putra Malaysia, UPM. The place where both of us have lots of memories. The Foodtech Faculty, the graduation hall and also the UPM facilities. It is hard for them to imagine the school is so huge for them that the require to take bus from one building to another. There are a few football fields in the university, hostel, post office etc. Compare to their school has only 1 field.
Next, we went to the next-door university which is Universiti Tenaga
Nasional, in short is call UniTEN. This is the place where I have studied in
there for 4 years to become a Mechanical Engineer. From the entrance, you can
see the Library which is very huge, then followed by the Administration
building and the 8 labs. We also went into the COE, College of Engineering. The
place where I spend the most time learning Engineering subject. And not to
forget to visit my friend’s F3 prototype model at the COE lobby. The children experienced
to set into the F3 car. The tour continues to visit the Swimming pool,
multipurpose hall, hostel, mosque and the romantic lake as well as the hotel
inside the University.
After the universities visit, let them enjoy some good food during our
life in Serdang… Never forget the Satay Kajang. Tapao the Satay and heading to
our Hotel. It is just so delicious! Invited my best friend, Ying Jui to our
studio unit stay. This is the night where we have non-stop talking. This day, I
also learned that white wine and dairy cheese are perfect match. Unfortunately,
he did not stay over. Will plan for the next trip to ensure that he can stay
over to chat until the next day morning.
On the next day, a plan for small break away to France Village at Bukit
Tinggi and Japanese Garden. The high expectation of the destination has really
disappointed us with its poor maintenance of the small township. The France
village suppose to have France feel, but the place has been localized to Raya
music, Local food and poor maintenance of building. The only best part is the
entrance for photographing. The Japanese garden was close to abandon. After a
few snaps and it was the time heading home.
We will plan for a much more meaningful trips on the next round visit to
KL. As there are a lot of places that we should bring our children to
experience, and see by their own from the knowledge that they have read from
their schooling text books.
During the met up with Ying Jui, we tried an idea to exchange goods so
that we gave a new life
