The Coliseum
Nuremberg is the place where it is well known as the gathering of the solder during the World War 2. It was the place that very happening during the Hitler era. Therefore I packed my bag alone and heading to Nuremberg as early as 7am in the morning. Traveling at 180 km/hr in the unlimited speed highway of Germany was a great experience and great opportunity to test the performance of the A180 Mercedes Benz. It just took me an hour to reach the visiting destination. The first place to visit was the Zeppelintribune or in English we call it Zeppelin Field.
My black German horse that bring me tour around for the month

Feeling like the Adolf Hitler that standing high above all the solders. You will have the feel when you standing on the stage.

This is my view when I was standing on the stage

This historical structure was built in 1933 for the National Socialists Party Rallies. This location was chosen after the Count Zepplelin’s aircraft was landed on 1909 and the structure was architecture by Albert Speer. There is a 3 story high stage was built and opposite the stage, there is a big field and surrounded by the auditoria staircase. The field is as big as combination of 4 soccer field. Other than the party rallies, there were car racing event has been organized in the Zeppelin Field. The moment when you stand on the stage, you can really feel the spirit and the atmosphere of the German during the World War 2. This structure was then partially destroyed by the US army on the Pearl Harbor attack. The walls and the beautifully built of the soviet eagle at the center and the side of the building was destroyed. Today, this building was abandon and just open for public to visit. I just hope that the government of Germany will preserve the historical building well and allow us to visit the inside of the building in the near future.
After an hour of visiting to the Zeppelintribune, the museum of the Coliseum is open for business. This is building is one of the incomplete buildings during the Adolf Hitler’s in power. This Coliseum was planned to construct twice the size of the Coliseum of Italy with a roof cover. However this Coliseum was built in U shape instead of eclipse in Rome Italy. The name of the coliseum formerly was called Ehemaliges Reichsparteitagsgelande, one of the longest names where the German was hardly pronouncing it. It means Nazi Party Rally Grounds. Now they change the name of the building to Innenhof Kongresshalle. The structure was planned to build at 70 meters in height where it can accommodate 50,000 people but it was only constructed at 39 meters and the construction was stopped due to World War 2. The building was constructed between 1937 and 1939. This building was left partially abandon after that. While partial segment of the building was used to renovate to become a museum to explain the historical giant structure. This is the museum where it documented how Adolf Hitler became powerful. Master in German language has the advantage of understanding the history more. It took me 2 hours to tour in the museum to get know more about Hitler. To those that planning to visit Nuremberg, please do some research from internet about World War 2. It will help you to understand better.

The beauty of nature

After the museum visit, I went all the way to the Heritage city of Nuremberg (Hauptmarkt). Church Frauenkirche is located at the center of the Nuremberg city and it is one of the landmarks of Nuremberg. In conjunction with the Christmas festival, this place was crowded with people. The Christmas market in Nuremberg was listed in one of the top 10 must visit Christmas Market in the world. Too bad, there was no snowing in Nuremberg during my visit. I just took a quick and simple lunch, fried pork and onion with bread and I am heading for the next destination. I am planning to come back to the Christmas Market at night because it is much happening and much beautiful when the market is fill up with Christmas lighting.

Can't resist to shoot this cute little girl. Her parents is looking at me but they are ok. I just love to see the kids in Germany.... They are adorable.

You can form a mini city of your own if you are rich enough to buy all the decoration goods here.

It is good to visit the tourist information center when you reach any city of Germany. You can get your city map for free, and you can ask for assistant at the information counter. They speak good British English and they will be able to help you to check the business hour of the museum or they can recommend you the museum to visit. And you can find the souvenir that sold in the information office has a better price than the souvenir shops. After you received the map, you will notice that there is a lot of tourism destination is around the historical city. Walk all my way up to the top of the slope and I found a castle.
Manage to catch this meaningful picture when I was walking on my way to the castle

At first I was not aware that there is a castle at the top of the slope until I reach there. And initially I was not intended to visit a castle again. I had already visited 2 castles in the last 2 weeks. But since I had reached the doorstep of the castle, as well visit one more castle. End, I would say this is a recommended castle to visit in Germany. Kaiser Schloss Nuremberg is a real museum! This is the museum that I go in and never feel like living the castle! Other than the castle tour, you will have the chance to see the all the real equipment well preserved in the castle. Again, if you are able to read in German will be an advantage to understand better. There is more than just furniture in the museum. The utensils used by the emperor, the crown were displayed in front of you. They also displayed the map of city craft on the wood. The section of the museum that made my jaw drop is the fighting equipment! The bow, the dagger, knights’ shield, sword, cannon, guns, rifles… were displayed. They even showed the revolutions of the equipment. If I were given a chance to make my wish come true, I will wish to stay in the castle for 2 days and examine every sword. It’s like a heaven for me, I love sword!
After visiting the museum, I just took a few minutes to walk around the castle; here are some lovely pictures of the castle. The watched tower in the castle is also one of the landmarks of Nuremberg.

Street talent

Love this picture, the lady at the foreground gives the impact to this picture.

End of the day, pickup my car at 8pm in the underground car park. I was shock that my car parking for the day is 12 Euro and it cost me more than RM 60 for the parking fees! (2 Euro per hour)
I had tried all ways of traveling: Backpack in group, 2 working colleagues sightseeing, couple sightseeing, engage a tour agent, backpack alone, among them backpack sightseeing in couple and backpack alone is the best way to travel. Backpack in group of 4 might be good in terms of costing and enjoy photo shooting together. I enjoy the most when I am touring alone in Germany.
