Throwback 37km cycling on 16-5-2022

 

It was a raining morning and it made me lazy to go out. With the push from my friend, Tai Hong, finally we made the trip successful. The weather was just nice for cycling. Chilling weather. We begun our journey at 8.30am in the morning. We went through the bicycle trail all the way from Penang 3nd link to Karpal Singh Drive. Along the way, the view is so beautiful and less people. Thanks to the rain in the morning. After reaching Karpal Singh Drive, we have to moves out to the tar road as there is no more bicycle track. It is about another 5 km to pass through the old Penang Ferry Terminal all the way to Padang Kota Lama or we call it Esplanade, some call it old Gurney Drive.

We enjoyed the seaview, The Cenotaph War Memorial and the newly built Esplanade Sea Wall Heritage Trail as well as the Cruise ship stop by the Port Swettenham Port.

 After about 10 minutes break, we begun our journey back to 2^nd Penang Bridge, Jambatan Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah. This time we tried to use the tar road to speed up our journey back to the origin destination. It is very unfortunate that we were riding against the wind. It took me harder to push. Tai Hong was great, he is a sports man. He helped me by riding at the front of me to block the wind. However, I was too “lembik” to catch him. End I have to low down my body to reduce air flow resistance and allow me to ride faster. End we made it to head back to our car at 2 hours with average speed of 18.5km/hr
