“Picture worth a thousand words”

In a family picture, there must have enough information about the emotion, where, when, who and why. It is important to shows the information in the pictures so that after years, when you refer back to the photos that you had captured it flash back all your memories. The modern technology today allows us to change the information of the photograph. To be honest, this feature is good for commercial use not for family photo use. With the software to change the information from the picture it makes the picture worth nothing because the picture carries fake information. And the “word picture worth a thousand words” is meaningless.

Digital camera had replaced analog camera (film camera) in the modern days. This had allow the people to take thousands of photos without worrying that every click has a price to pay; despite in the old days, film camera cost average of RM 1.20 per click. In order to keep the memories, people will try to make a series of photos in an album to keep the memory. For example, my son is playing. I do not have to snap the scenario separately, such as snap a photo of the clock, the bicycle, the sister, and the café. I combine all together. It forms a sentence that “At 2.45pm, my son was enjoying on the bicycle in the café with the sister”. This photo was snapped from my cell phone. Then the balance I need to crop away those unwanted surrounding that does not bring the information to the sentence such as the customer on the right hand side. He/She is not related to the story.

Advance tip 3: Delete/ Crop the unwanted information from your photo.

Happy Snake Year 2013

Unlike last year, we went to Cameron Highlands on Chinese New Year; we were just back to normal ordinary Chinese New Year celebration. This year Chinese New Year we added a member to the family. We have total of 9.5 family members celebrating Chinese New Year. Added Javen and soon to be added is my junior.








During the Chinese New Year, I noticed that Chong Hee will always find his way to get things that he wants and he is never a loser. When Jovan and Chong Hee were playing together, Chong Hee as a younger brother has always fights for his rights. We can see it when Chong Hee was playing with Chong Yi. Anything that Chong Hee wants he will just grab it. From the parent point of view…. Kids must learn to give and take, thus we should teach them how to give and take, so that they learn not to fight for things and always live in harmony. But from my personal point of view, I would love him so much that he fights for his rights. At my young age, I do not know to fight for my own rights. That is why I find that I lose out a lot of things by being too soft. As a great leader, you need to fight for your own rights so that you will not left out or made use by people. You also need to fight for the rights of your people so that your follower will respect you for being a great leader to fight for their rights and take care of them. When Chong Hee wants the Thomas train, he grabbed from Jovan and Jovan was so scared that he did not know how to response to Chong Hee.

Look!! they are like twin dragon. These were the time where Jovan and Chong Hee were playing together. Both of them only met once a year and all these photos captured really kept a sweet memory for them to flash back and remember that they were playing hard together every year. This similar to my childhood where my cousin and I were playing together during the Chinese New Year and we used snail mail to communicate in those days and waiting for the Chinese New Year to come. Modern day, they can communicate via skype and soon I think they will start up a facebook to chat with each other.

Every year we will go back to Malacca on the second day of Chinese New Year which is my in-law house to celebrate Chinese New Year over there. There was a changed on this year as they had shifted to a semi-D home with a big compound. My son will always feel happy when he sees a big compound allow him to run around. Will be nice to take care of him on the field but will not be nice on the next year, where my another junior will be joining us soon. Spend some time and took his marvelous picture.

Michael Greenberg from Canada

We mixed around so do Chong Hee. This was the first time Chong Hee associated with an international artist. He is a humble and great artist, Michael Greenberg. Air Asia’s slogan “Anyone can fly”; Chong Hee’s slogan “Anyone is OK”. He never feels shy, he never feels scare…. He is just he is. Michael was having fun time playing with him. For adults we have language barrier, we find difficult to communicate when we have language problem, but baby understand it all. As long as he feels the fun in you, you are always his toy. I love all these photos.

While waiting for Michael to rest in his room for refreshment, we play hard to kill time at the 1926 Heritage Hotel pool side. Thanks Siewkay helping to capture all these memorable moment of our family.




















A day to remember... Michael Greenberg bough my wife a cake to celebrate her birthday. Thank you so much Michael.
