Some time in July... Baby Portrait.
When Chong Hee about 9 months old, my wife was away for business in KL left Chong Hee and I at home. That time was still with the old baby sitter where my son does not really sleep at night. Full time taking care of baby requires all your attention. Cannot stick on my computer, cannot online, no facebook, no blogspot, not Photoshop! Talk to him, play with him until I am tired but he was still very energetic until midnight. The only thing I can do is put him into the baby court, let him play around with his toys. I only can accompany him until all my energy drain off and fall into sleep; despite he played until tire and he fall sleep. While waiting for time pass, the best thing to do is to capture some images of him with my camera on 50mm f1.4 lens. Set my ISO high and capture his charming moment, smiling moment and the funny of him. I bet you will never get tire shooting your own baby. This is the result that I got.

7-7-2012 Penang Heritage Day
After Pakatan Rakyat has come to Power in Penang. 7-July is declare as Unesco World Heritage Day. I had miss out several years because it is not fall on weekends and my company did not declare this date as public holiday. During this day, all the heritage area buildings void their entrance fees except 1. Finally 7-7-2012 was fall on Saturday, I took this opportunity to bring my family for a visit at Penang Georgetown. They close a few roads for the event and I think Chong Hee is excited about the outing. It was a nice time to have family outing.
A lot of people said that baby below 1 year old best not to expose on the environment; but to me, kids has to be trained since baby age. Expose to natural environment make his body adjust to the environment. He use to sweat a lot when at the outdoor, but this is the weather in Malaysia and we have to accept and get use to it. While walking around, Chong Hee learn to meet new people and he is very friendly to people. Always smile and play with stranger, that will not make him become a shy personal. Explore the food, gives him a chance to taste different types of food and built his stomach to be tough to accept foods around us. Took quite a number of photos with the Heritage buildings.

Chong Hee is witnessing how people make batik. One of the Malaysia traditional art.

This is how we carry him when we walk around.

Visiting Khoo Kongsi (Original Entrance Fees is RM 15)

Khoo Kongsi main building

Finally photo of me and Chong Hee

Which way to go?

Hey, that is mine!

Chong Hee was trying to call the kid on the wall.

Wall art in Penang was done by this talented artist, Ernest. We manage to see him in person, he is quite good looking yah.

Our rest time.... take 5 on the sofa seat.

Last.... before we go back, had our dinner at Harvest Inn restaurant. The food is delicious and great price. Recommended!

Have your seat.... we are about to eat!

Hey where is my food?

Thanks.... I enjoy my outing today.

Great Grand Auntie.... RIP.
Chong Hee's great grand auntie passed away on 4-7-2012. It was not a good sign when we heard of someone had passed away.... but in another way I do think that it is a relief for her as she was suffering for her illness for years before she heading the end of her journey. I feel sad as she witness my growing age and there was once I go snap a photo with her with my graduation lodge. It was my memorable moment with her and she was very proud of me.
Anyhow, life has to go on.... After the funeral was done, Uncle from Australia invited us for dinner for a family gathering before all of them fly off and back to their home. Grand auntie and auntie from Singapore, Uncle from Australia are all here for the gathering.
This is the photo auntie Sarah in the car before heading back to Australia. She is very sporting girl and never feel shy with camera. Photo speaks.

During the gathering, grand auntie from Singapore was the first time see Chong Hee. For those who had seen Chong Hee or play with him before, they would like to play with him. And now you can see the expression of uncles and aunties when carrying Chong Hee. He cheer them up with his smile :D

Min Maik Maik from Singapore... miss her so much. She is another beautiful Hainanese lady.

Handsome Uncle John.... Thanks to him for helping up to select our names (my brother, my name and Chong Hee's name was advise from him). My dad always thank him for his kindness and guidance during my dad's young day.

Mai Poh from Singapore.

Auntie Boh, very kind auntie who always offer her helping hands. Chong Hee cheer her up the most.

On the bus.... Aeroline
The price to pay for Aeroline is not cheap, but you got what you pay for. I am an economical guy, where I go anywhere, I will figure out the cheapest way to go for my traveling journey, no matter on working or on my personal trip with family. Thus Aeroline, an expensive bus is my first time experience. Sitting on the bus Konsortium from Penang to KL is about RM 33 where else Aeroline is RM 61.80 per single journey. It is about the price for 2 journeys on Konsortium. But I really love sitting this bus and enjoying the moment on the bus. This time I am force to take Aeroline to KL because this is the only long journey bus that stops at 1 Utama where it is convenient for my friend to pick me up. Thanks a lot for bringing me around.
There is a 3 pin plug available on the seat, so that you can do your phone charging or laptop charging in the bus whiles you traveling. I can’t imagine that I can do my blog writing on the bus. Best if they have internet service on the bus. Guess that I should get my portable internet modem with me so that I can online whenever I travel. You can feel that you are like sitting on the air craft. The facility and service is superb. The bus is traveling slowly which suits my mom very much. It takes about 5 hours to travel from Penang to KL. They serve food to the passenger as well, chicken rice from Chicken Rice Shop and a cup of coffee. But I would wish they could serve on our dinner time despite they serve when we were just entering to the bus. The bus condition is clean and a bottle of 500ml drinking water was served. Besides that, there is a TV in front of every passenger seat. Whereby you can chose your beloved movie to watch, series movie, documentary, Chinese movie, English movie on your choice. I had watched Johnny English and Treasure Inn on the bus. Now I am on my head set listening to love songs while writing my blog.
On my next time travelling to Singapore for family vacation, I am pretty sure Aeroline will be my choice. Wish to bring my wife to Singapore during Christmas. She has never been to Singapore before. As in years ago I promised to bring her to Singapore, tickets bough, hotels book, everything done, end I was down with Chicken Pox and force to cancel the trip. If I have budget, I would love to bring her to Singapore this year Christmas, this time to bring her and my son, Chong Hee to Singapore. Enjoy the Orchard Road Christmas Lights, Singapore Zoo & night Safari and Universal Studio.
Always miss my family very much when I travel alone.
Away to KL
I will be away to KL on this weekend for a workshop and some personal stuff and will only be back on Monday. Since Chong Hee was born, we are seldom far apart. Before leaving, I am already starting to miss him terribly. Although he created a lot of trouble for us. Need our attention at all time, pass motion to give us extra 3D work (dirty, difficult and dangerous), make noise, actively climbing up and down.... but he actually created a lot of memories to us. Been seeing him everyday after work and play with him, spend time with him even I am watching movies. Every night I will be with him after work, dinner until his sleeping time then only I left him to start my photography work. 4 to 5 hours a day, he cheers me up, do a lot of funny funny and unexpected action.
Everyday playing with him in the car. Whenever I see the traffic light is red, I am very happy, cause its my time to play with him. Small little action act on him such as touching his hand, his stomach or even make some funny noise can easily make him smile. I like the most when I put my hand on his baby seat, he holds my hand. Small little cutie hand, grabbing your flesh..... ehhhh, miss him so much. Will meet him up for a hug before I leave for bus.
I still miss my wife when I am away. Although we seldom talk, but we communicate via "blue tooth". Action shows the communication. Still will miss you. I will be back once I finish the thing on Monday. See you, my beloved family.
